Director of Vendor Management Appointed

Edmonton-based industrial safety and supply company, CenturyVallen is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandy Brodie to the position of Director of Vendor Management. Sandy will be based out of the Edmonton head office replacing Tom Taylor who has accepted the challenge of District Manager, Eastern Canada and now resides in Mississauga. Sandy comes to CenturyVallen after 23 years at Telus Corporation with significant roles in finance and vendor management. She has a Bachelor of Commerce as well as her CMA designation, and is currently completing the SCMP accreditation (Supply Chain Management Professional) through PMAC.

Guy Mersereau, General Manager and Vice President of CenturyVallen says “we feel that her experience in developing and integrating robust vendor management practices, systems and corresponding analytics will be a great complement to the strong product and vendor knowledge that currently resides in CenturyVallen.” The Product Managers and the Purchasing department will report to Sandy.

Sandy joins a seasoned CenturyVallen leadership team. “As we celebrate our 75th year in business, we do so with an emphasis on the outstanding people we employ, 29 of which have each been employed by CenturyVallen for more than 25 years” states Guy Mersereau. “Those are numbers you don’t hear very often in today’s economic climate.”

Sandy officially joins CenturyVallen on the 16th of July, 2012, and is expected to hit the ground running. An exceptional group of long-term product managers, purchasing professionals, and analysts are eager to welcome her to the team.
