VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory)
CenturyVallen's VMI program provides a proven and effective method for managing low-cost, consumable inventories, at a shop or job sites, including free issue areas, Point-of-Use locations, tool cribs, and warehouses.
By working directly with your site staff, CenturyVallen customer service representatives help to (1) establish ordering controls for all products at all VMI locations and (2) bar code label all stock locations. These customer service representatives then use portable bar-code scanners, equipped with direct links to CenturyVallen's transaction system, to periodically review and replenish inventory based on the approved controls.
Transaction reports are reviewed regularly with your end users and site representatives to continually optimize the product stocked, the locations of the product, and the ordering controls.
A fully implemented VMI program helps to:
