EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
CenturyVallen is driven to continually reduce our customers’ cost of procurement and ownership. Automation of the procurement process, using tools such as EDI, can be effective in reducing transaction costs associated with low-value MRO consumables.
Our EDI solutions follow the ANSI X.12 standard and include the full range of transaction sets, including 850 (Purchase Order), 855 (PO Confirmation), 856 (Advance Shipment Notice), 810 (Invoice), and 820 (Remittance Advice) among others. We support all common VAN’s (Value Added Networks) as well as direct internet‑based solutions.
We also understand each of our customers’ business processes are different, and thus our EDI solutions can be customized based on the unique requirements of your operation.
A properly designed EDI program helps to:
- Reduce transaction costs of purchasing MRO commodities
- Improve accuracy and reduce errors in procurement and receipt
- Improve efficiency for processing and delivery
